I set a lot of goals for the coming year but only one resolution.

For many people there probably isn't much a difference between resolutions and goals but, for me, goals are what I'm aiming for and all reasonable progress counts.

Resolutions, on the other hand, are a personal (or in this case not so personal) vow.  And resolutions, like quests, don't count unless they are 100% complete.

In 2016, my goals address my home, health, online shop, astrological studies and wiccan studies / practice.

My resolution is about writing.  It is something I have been meaning to do for a very long time.  It is something I want to do very badly.  It is something I am not going leave undone.

So here it is:

I resolve to publish at least one book in 2016.

This book may be an ebook and it may be self published.  It may come after a short book that I'd like to write to give away to people who sign up for my email list or it might be that short book expanded.  But whatever the yet to be defined details may be, I am going to write my book using Nina Amir's blog a book process.

One of the things I like about Nina's blog a book approach is that it allows you to write blog posts at the same time you write your book - effectively side stepping the I-have-used-today's-writing-time-up-on-a-blog-post dilemma.  But the process Nina provides in How to Blog a Book: Write, Publish, and Promote Your Work One Post at a Time has much more to offer than that.  Including an emphasis on planning and marketability that is already proving very helpful to me.

I'll be writing more about Nina's process in 2016 but even more importantly, I'll be showing you that process by blogging my own book right here on this blog.

Check back for more details in the new year!
